Focal length of the concave mirror is 8cm. The object is placed at 16cm infront of the mirror. Write the postion of image and its nature.

positon of image is 16cm in front of mirror  and is real and inverted .

Explanation:

since 1/f=1/v +1/u                            (1)

and here f= -8cm because object and focal length for  a mirror is always negative due to sign convention. so u= -16cm

hence putting values in (1) we get v= -16 cm which means position of image is also in front of mirror and due to which it is real and inverted.
