Q - Example of Displacement Reaction With Explaination
Answers
Answer:
Thank you buddy thanks a lot for ur points
hope it will help you
Displacement reaction is a reaction in which a more reactive element displaces less reactive element from its salt solution. It is further of two types:
- Single displacement reaction
A single-displacement reaction, also known as single replacement reaction or exchange reaction, is a chemical reaction in which one element is replaced by another in a compound. General reaction involved is –
A + BC → AC + B
2. Double displacement reaction
It is a salt metathesis reaction, sometimes called a double replacement reaction, double displacement reaction, is a chemical process involving the exchange of bonds between two reacting chemical species which results in the creation of products with similar or identical bonding affiliations.General reaction involved is –
AB + CD → AC + BD
- For single displacement:
- Zn + 2HCl → ZnCl2 + H2
- For double displacement:
- KNO3 + AlCl3 → Al(NO3)2 + KCl
[ NOTE: The correct way for writing these reactions is given in the attachment along with more reactions.]
