Following is not a limitation Arrhenius concept.
(a) Neutralization reaction of acid and base of a solvent cannot be explained by explained by this
theory
(b) Few salts like AlCl3 and ZnCl2 cannot be defined as acid, though they behave as acids.
(c) Few basic substances, which do not contain OH-ions, cannot be defined as base, e.g. NH3.
(d) Substances that are not normally considered as acids, behave as Lewis acid.​
