Side = 16cm

As the diagonal divides the square into 2 right angled ∆les

By Pythagorean Theorem

Hyp² = Side² + side²

Hyp² = 2 × side²

Hyp² = 2 × 16²

Hyp² = 2 × 256

Hyp² = 512

Hyp = √512

Hyp = 16√2

Diagonal od square is 16√2 cm.
