A simple food chain in the garden is as follows:

Grass---------Grasshopper--------frog/toad------snakes----- eagle/vultures------- decomposers

Food chains start from producers,.i.e.plants( here,grass).

Then comes herbivores( ones that feed on plants only)- grasshopper.

Next, comes the primary carnivores( that feed on herbivores)-frog, followed by secondary carnivores( snakes) and lastly the omnivores( eagle).

Lastly comes the decomposers like bacteria,fungi, snail, etc. that feed on dead and decaying organic matter.
