Food of tortoise or Diet of tortoise differ upon the species .if we take a look at the land rover tortoises like dry savanna and wet region tortoise they eat only plants/fruits/soil(for some vitamin and for calcium supplement they eat soil) .The diet of a sea turtle depends upon the species too. Some are omnivores, eating a variety of plants and animals(small non vertebrate like jelly fish). Hippopotamus are night eaters there regular diet or food mostly grasses, vegetation and fruit. But in rare occasions, hippos in the wild will eat meat or insects because of dry drought season.
