Food web is the complex network of ecosystem which deals with the prey and food relationships among the animals and plants of an ecosystem.

Food web is just like many food chains are combined scientifically to give a proper relationship network. It has several advantages over food chains like – it can include that a carnivorous animal can feed on both primary and secondary consumers and an animal not always feed on same animals, like in the food chain. But still, it doesn’t include saprophytes, which is a drawback.
