The condition says, [3*(10x+y)] -2 = 10y+x

simplifying will give us the equation as 29x=7y+2

now max possible number for y is 9 and max possible value for R.H.S is 65.

therefore to be in range with the R.H.S, the max possible value for x is 2.

Thus, x can be either 1 or 2. If x=1, LHS=29 and no suitable value can be found for y.

If x=2, LHS=58 and y can be 8 to satisfy the equation.

Thus x=2 and y=8.

So the number is 28.
