Firstly, to know why the constitution is important we should be aware what constitution is.

CONSTITUTION : The rules and principles on the basis of which a country is governed is called it's constitution. Amost every country have a constitution for the following reasons.

• A constitution defines the type of government or political system that a particular country holds.
• A constitution describes the principles along which a country is to be governed.
• A constitution lays down the powers of the different organs of the government and provides measures for safeguarding these rights. So that, these powers may not be misused.
• It sets the rights that the people enjoy and provides measures for safeguarding these rights.
