The value of standard deviation for a distribution with coefficient of variation 22.5% and arithmetic mean 7.5 is 1.688.

              Given,

                   Coefficient of variation(CV) = 22.5%

                      Arithmetic mean = 7.5

                    Standard deviation = ?

                We know that,

                     Coefficient of variation = (standard deviation)/(arithmetic mean)

                                22.5% = SD/7.5

                                22.5/100 = SD/7.5

                                225 x 75/10000 = SD

                                SD = 27/16

                                SD = 1.6875

                                SD = 1.688

     ∴ The correct option is (B)
