Half life of a first order reaction can be calculated using the formula:

t_{\frac{1}{2}}=\frac{0.693}{k}

t_{\frac{1}{2}}, is the half life time of a reaction

k, is the rate constant

Here,

Where, k=6.93×10⁻³

So putting the value of rate constant in the above equation

t_{\frac{1}{2}}=\frac{0.693}{6.93\times 10^{-3}}

t_{\frac{1}{2}}=100 sec

t_{\frac{1}{2}}=1.6 min
