The time taken for 75% conversion in minutes is :

1. For a first order reaction the rate constant is 6.909 min⁻¹.

2. k = 6.909 min⁻¹.

3. We know that,

k = (2.303/t)×log(R°/R° - x)

6.909 = (2.303/t)×log(100/100-75)

3 = (1/t)×log4

4. t = 1/3×log2^2 = 2/3×log2

5.Therefore, time taken for 75% conversion is 2/3×log2
