For a floating body the centre of buoyancy lies above or below the centre of gravity

If a body floats in a liquid with its part submerged the centre of buoyancy lies below the centre of gravity. While if the body is completely immersed inside the liquid the centre of gravity and centre of buoyancy coincides with each other.
