Hey Dear,

● Answer -

Polarising angle = 54.85°

# Solution -

Polarizing angle is angle of incidence at which light rays are completely polarized without any deflection. Aka Brewster's angle.

Refractive index of a medium is related to polarizing angle by formula

n = tan(p)

Taking tan inverse,

p = arctan(n)

Substitute value of n,

p = arctan(1.42)

p = 54.85°

Therefore, polarizing angle for the material is 54.85°.

Thanks dear.
