Time taken via travelling through scenic route = 20/3 hours

Total time to and from the destination = 12 hours

=> Time taken to go via direct route + time taken to return via scenic route = 12

Let time taken to go via scenic route = t

Time taken via scenic route = t + (25/100)t = 1.25

Total time taken = 12 hours

=> t + 1.25t = 12

=> 2.25t = 12

=> t = 12/2.25

=> t = 16/3 hours

Time taken via travelling through scenic route = 1.25 t

= 20/3 hours
