For a solenoid keeping turn density constant its length is made halved and its cross section radius is doubled then inductance of solenoid increased by??

Answer:

Inductance of solenoid becomes 8 times the actual

L= ∪N^2 A/ l

l is length, A is area and N is number of terms in solenoid.

new r = 2r so area becomes 4A

length is l/2

So new inductance is L= (4*2) ∪N^2 A/ l

L= 8 ∪N^2 A/ l

So the new area is 8 times more than the previous one.
