rate constant = rate of rxn ------ eqn 1

now , rate of rxn = -1/2 [(0 -2) mol/l]/t

t = time taken to complete full rxn

t = t1/2 × 2

t = 120s × 2 = 240s

rate of rxn = -1/2[(0-2)mol/l]/240s

= 1/240mol/l/s

so rate constant k = 1/240mol/l/s by eqn 1
