Adiabatic change is a process in which no heat exchange takes place.

ΔQ for the system = 0 .

Q may not be 0.However change in Q will always be 0.

Acc. to 1st law :

ΔU = ΔQ + ΔW

= > ΔU = ΔW

= > ΔU = - PΔV

Amount of heat would still be MCΔT or NCΔT.

The specific heat of a gas in an adiabatic process is zero but it is infinite in an isothermal process.
