Solution

Given :-

  • a = -10 ,
  • d = -3

Find :-

  • 2nd & 3rd terms of A.P.

Explanation

Using Formula

nth terms = a + (n - 1)d

For 2nd terms

==> 2nd terms = -10 + (2 - 1)×(-3)

==> 2nd terms = -10 - 3

==> 2nd terms = -13

Now, For 3rd terms

==> 3rd terms = -10 + ( 3 - 1)×(-3)

==> 3rd terms = -10 + 2 × -3

==> 3rd terms = -10 - 6

==> 3rd terms = -16

Hence

  • 2nd terms will be = -13
  • 3rd terms will be = -16
