Answer:

Yes, it is true.

Step-by-step explanation:

Addition is a commutative operation; this means that no matter which way you rearrange it, it still means the same thing.

For example, if a=1; b=2; c=3;

(1+2)+3 = 3+3 =6

1+(3+2)= 5+1 = 6

Answer:

Commutative Property

Step-by-step explanation:

Question= for any whole number ABC is it true that ( a + b ) +c = a+ ( c+ b ) give reason.

Concept= Commutative Property

Given= The relation

To find= Give reason for relation

Explanation=

We know that Addition is Commutative.

Commutative Addition means that if their are three values and their are added first in sequence the result will be same as when they are added without order.

Let there be  three numbers such as x, y and z.

So, x + y + z = x + z + y = y + x + z = z  + x + y

Simply we write as ( x + y) + z = x + ( y + z ) or x + ( z + y)

Example:

3 numbers = 11, 12, 15

(11 + 12) + 15 = 23 + 15 = 38

11 + ( 15 + 12) = 11 + 27 = 38

Therefore we see that   (11 + 12) + 15 = 11 + ( 15 + 12)

Similarly we have been given that a, b, c are three whole numbers and it is stated true that ( a + b ) + c = a+ ( c+ b ) it is because of the commutative property stated above.

Hence proved.
