sin^2 + cos^2 = 1

(sin+ cos)^2 -2sin cos = 1

1- sin2a = 1

sin2a = 0

Answer:

The value of sin 2a= 0

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that sin a + cos a=1

squaring both sides, =

(sin a+ cosa)²= 1²

=>sin²a + cos ²a + 2 sin a cos a =1

Also we know that

sin² theta + cos ²theta = 1

Let theta = a

So now the equation becomes:-

1 + 2sinacosa=1

=> 2 sin a cos a =1-1=0. ---------(1)

From NCERT Book we have got that

2sin a cos a = sin 2a

Hence from (1) , we get that:-

sin 2a = 0

Hence the value of sin 2a = 0.
