●Your Answer :- Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC)
Cement used in the construction purposes can be Hydraulic or Non-hydraulic too.
● Cement :- Cement is the binder which have a tendency to harden the material independently ,it occurs by the process of Calcination.
☆ Process of making☆ :-
When lime stone is heated in presence of clay with very high temperature (1500°C) it produce gypsum which further divided into small pieces then Intergrinding of clinker leads to produce Ordinary Portland Cements (3-5% gypsum).
● How it is used -: When water reacts with the cements. It joins together with the strong bonding and become harder.
☆Applications of cement☆ -
Many purposes in construction work
• Structural formation and used in concrete suspended columns.
• For making Beams
• Domestic poles foundations
• Bricks making.
