Subject: Complain against disrupted supply of water.
Respected Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily newspaper, I woul like to highlight the problem of water scarcity in this locality which was reported as due to damaged water pipelines.
For the last three weeks our locality is receiving very low quantity and irregular supply of water which is not enough for our daily basic needs like cooking and drinking. The few wells available in the area has dred up as they are not enough to meet the demand of so many people. The residents here are being compelled to buy water at exorbitant rates.
The question asked by almost everyone is "how long does it take to repair or replace a broken water pipeline?" The concerned department entrusted with the supply of water has more than enough employees. Some reports indicated that about 30% of the employees are in excess. So why are they not utilising the ample work force?
I earnestly request the concerned department and the authorities to look into the matter urgently and immediately restore regular and unterrupted daily supply of clean water since the people of this locality are facing much inconvenience and untold hardship.
Yours sincerely,
