The answer is 50:13

Given:

For every pound, the company spends on advertising it spends £0.26 on its website.

To Find:

The ratio of the amount spent on advertising to the amount spent on the website in the simplest form.

Solution:

We are given that,

Amount spent on advertising in £ = 1  ................(1)

Amount spent on website in £      =0.26 ............(2)

To convert these values into the simplest form we have to multiply both equations (1) and (2) by 100.

(1)*100=1*100

             =100  ...................(3)

(2)*100=0.26*100

             =26    ...................(4)

Now to get the simplest ratio, we divide the equation (3) by (4),

=\frac{(3)}{(4)}=\frac{100}{26}

100 and 26 can be mutually divided by 2,

\frac{100}{26} =\frac{50}{13}

Writing this value in ratio = 50:13

Hence, the ratio of the amount spent on advertising to the amount spent on the website in the simplest form is 50:13
