Ionic radius of K+ = 138pm
Ionic radius of Br- = 196 pm
=> (K+)/(Br-) = 138/196 = 0.704 .
The ratio we obtained lies between
0.414-0.732. it means that Shape of crystal is OCTAHEDRAL with coordination number "6".
