For nucleons should we add mass of neutron and mass of proton?

a nucleus consists of 2 protons and neutrons .let the mass of the nucleus be m(2, n) .if a nucleus is assumed to be a simple collection of 2 protons and neutron ,the mass of the nucleus would be just the sum of the massa's of these constitute nucleus ,i.e . where is the mass of proton and is that of neutron
