b) B

a) A

Matter is defined as anything that has mass and occupies space. Matter is made up of atoms which are in turn made up of protons, electrons and neutrons.

Matter has three states namely, solid, liquid and gas. Solid retains its shape and liquid and gas are fluid in nature, which means they do not have any shape.

Kinetic energy of an object is the energy of object in motion. It is a dynamic energy.

Kinetic energy is directly proportional to square of velocity, thus increasing velocity two times will positively effect kinetic energy four times.
