For question numbers 13 and 14, two statements
are given—one labelled Assertion (A) and the other
labelled Reason (R). Select the correct answer to
these questions from the codes (a), (b), (c) and (d) as
given below.
(a) Both A and R are true and R is correct explanation
of the assertion.
(b) Both A and R are true but R is not the correct
explanation of the assertion.
(c) A is true but R is false.
(d) A is false but R is true.

13. Assertion : The energy of a charged particle moving
at right angles to a uniform magnetic field does not
change.
Reason : No work is done by the magnetic field on the
charged particle.

LAST BOTH PPL WERE WRONG
ANS : (a) Both A and R are true and R is correct explanation
of the assertion.

I CANT UNDERSTAND HOW? PLS HELP ME

Yes because the force on the particle is directly perpendicular to its moving direction.Which is the direction of moving charge.

So as according to the formulae of force [W=FS cos theta] hece theta 90 and cos90=0 so work done also 0...hence energy of charged particle do not change.☺

I really hope it will be helpful
