For rational numbers x and y, if x < y then x – y is a positive rational number. True or False? Why?

False . let me explain with the help of an example .
let x = 3/6 and y = 3/3 ( 3/6 is 0.5 and 3/3 is 1 so x < y )
                3/6 - 3/3
                 
                  = 3 - 6 / 6 
       =   - 3/6    ( or - 0.5 )
