For tge preparations of cakes baking powder is used . If at home your mother uses baking soda instead of baking powder how will it affect the taste of yhe cake and why

if baking soda is used instead of baking powder then the cake will taste bitter.

this is due to formation of anhydrous soda ash.

baking powder consists of tartaric acid which make the cake to pluffy and soft .Baking soda does not consists of tartaric acid which results in the cake to become small and nonpluffy
