The story is about a king who seeks guidance from a hermit. At one point in time, the king ends up helping the hermit with his work in a field. Later, the king escapes being killed by a man whose brother the king has executed earlier.

His good deed in aiding the hermit in his work previously had saved the king. The point is that the purpose of man sent by God to the world is to do good.
