for the block moving on a smooth horizondal table the work done by the gravitational force is zero state wether this stse ment is true or fals why?

yeah it's totally true so the reason for that is we know that if the object is moving at some angle to the horizontal then we we can say that it is moving in a plane not on the line right so on in that case we can resolve it into two components and we can see that both of these components are independent to each other and both it is possible for planar moment of object but if the object is moving either in horizontal direction or in vertical direction then in layman language we can say that object is moving along the components either it might be a vertical component or it might be a horizontal component so we can say that angle between horizontal and direction of the moment of that object is zero degree if it is moving horizontally and we know that a horizontal and vertical motions are independent of each other so if the object is moving horizontally that means mg of the object that is weight of the body is acting downward due to gravity and they both to not depend on each other so we can save a object is moving horizontally vertical component that is gravitational force acting downward does not have any significance or role
