For the given network of Capacitors, each capacitor is of 30 pF connected as shown to the battery of potential 60 V. Find the net Capacitance and Energy stored in network of capacitors.​

Explanation:

C1, C2 and C3 are in series.

So net capacitance among them will be,

C÷ 3

=30pF ÷3

=10 pF.

This willbe parallel to C4.

So, effective capacitance will be,

10 pF +30 pF

=40 pF.

Energy stored in the capacitor will be,

Energy

 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times c \times  {v}^{2}  \\  =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 40 \times  {10}^{ - 12}  \times  {60}^{2}  \\  = 72 \times  {10}^{ - 9}  \: joules \\
