Answer:

3x^2-4x-4

=3x^2-6x+2x-4

=3x(x-2)-2(x-2)

3x-2=0. x-2=0

x=2\3. x= 2

As x cannot be negative so x=2

Answer:

3x^2-4x-4

by splitting the middle term

3x^2-6x+2x-4=0

3x(x-2)+2(x-2)=0

(3x+2)(x-2)=0

(3x-2)=0

3x=2

x=2/3--(1)

(x-2)=0

x=2--(2)

(1) & (2) are two zeroes

a^2+b^2=

2^2/3^2+ 2^2

4/9+4=

4/9+36/9=

40/9
