As the resultant between two vectors is defined by (√A^2 + B^2 + 2ABcos@).

Therefore, for the resultant to be minimum cos@ should be equal to its least value, i.e., cos@ = -1

 => \fbox{@ = 180°.}

So, for the resultant of two vector to be minimum the angle between the two vectors must be equal to 180°.
