Louis XVI left foreign business behind and disappeared leaving debts. As he was belongs to Upper caste, his greed and luxorious life made people to get angry since most of the people present in that region are in below poverty line. Louis XVI never looked after them. It is said that he had secretly held a meeting with the king of Prussia and Austria to attack on France, as he was very much against the revolutionary forces.He was sentenced to death by the National Convention, and later executed by guillotine in the Place de la Revolution in Paris.
