p(x) = x³ + 2x² - 3ax - 8

x - 4 = 0

x = 4

p(4) = (4)³ + 2(4)² - 3a(4) - 8

64 + 32 - 8 - 12a = 0

96 - 8 - 12a = 0

88 - 12a = 0

a = 88/12

a = 22/3
