SOLUTION :

Given : polynomial,p(x) = x² + 11x + k and -3 is a zero of p(x).

Since, x = -3 is a zero of polynomial p(x) = x² + 11x + k

Therefore, p(-3) = 0

p(x) = x² + 11x + k

(-3)² + 11(-3) + k = 0

9 - 33 + k = 0

-24 + k = 0

k = 0 + 24

k = 24

Hence, the value of k is 24.

(-3)^[2]+11*(-3) +k
9-33+k=0
-24+k=0
k=24
