P(x) = 3x^2 + 4x + 2k
=> P(-2) = 0
=> 3(-2)^2 +4(-2) + 2k = 0
=> 3 (4) - 8 + 2k = 0
=> 12 - 8 + 2k = 0
=> 2k + 4 = 0
=> 2k = - 4
=> k = - 2
=> P(-2) = 0
=> 3(-2)^2 +4(-2) + 2k = 0
=> 3 (4) - 8 + 2k = 0
=> 12 - 8 + 2k = 0
=> 2k + 4 = 0
=> 2k = - 4
=> k = - 2

p(X) = 3X² + 4X + 2K
p(-2) = 3(-2)²+4(-2)+2K
0 = 12-8+2K
-12+8 = 2K
K = -2
Hope this helps you out.
