EQUATION (1) = 5x - 7y - 5 = 0

EQUATION (2) = 2x + ky - 1 = 0

For unique solution ,

=> a1 / a2 b1 / b2

where a1 = coefficient of x in equation (1)

a2 = coefficient of x in equation (2) .

b1 = coefficient of y in equation (1)

b2 = coefficient of y in equation (2)

=> 5/2 ≠ -7/k

=> k ≠ -14/5

So, equations (1) and (2) have unique solution for all values of k except (-14/5) .
