13=[(2k+1)+(5k-3)]/2
13=(2k+1+5k-3)/2
13=(7k-2)/2
26=7k-2
7k=28
k=4

13=(7k-2)/2

difference between them will be equal.
therefore
13-(2k+1)=5k-3-13
13-2k-1=5k-16
-7k=-28
k=-28/-7=4
