Answer:

3x+y=3

3x+y-3=0......(1)

6x+ky-8=0.....2

a1=3

a2=6

b1=1

b2=k

c1=-3

c2=-8

for no solution

a1/a2=b1/b2=/c1/c2

3/6=1/k

1/2=1/k

k=2

Answer

The equation are

3x + 5y - 3 = 0 .....(1)

6x + ky - 8 = 0 ......(2)

Here, a¹ = 3, b¹ = 5,c¹ = -3

and a² = b, b² = k, c² = -8

The given system has no solution if

  • a¹/a² = b¹/b² =/ c¹/c²
  • 3/6 = 5/k =/ -3/-8
  • 3k = 30
  • k = 30/3
  • k = 10
