I think you have written the question wrong. because if you take the above value, there will be no k left when you solve.because when you take (y3-y1) will get zero and zero into k will be zero.

So I have taken (2,-4) and solved for your reference.you can take your preferred value and solve later using the area of triangle method.

Now use area of triangle formula as given points are collinear.hence area will be zero.
