If x-3 is a factor. then. x-3 =0.
Or x =3
Therefore p(x) =0 put it in it we get
x {}^{3} - 6x {}^{2} - kx - 6 = 0 \\ 3 {}^{3} - 6(3) {}^{2} - k(3) - 6 = 0 \\ 27 - 54 - 3k - 6 = 0 \\ - 3k - 33 = 0 \\ - 3k = 33 \\ k = - 33 \div 3 \\ k =- 11
