(-3) is the zero so it must satisfy the equation .

x - 4x - (8p+5) = 0

putting x = - 3 and from here we will get the value of p.

-3 - 4×-3 -8p - 5=0

-3 +12-5 - 8p = 0

4 - 8p = 0

8p = 4

p =4/8

p = 1/2

Answer: p= 1/2

Step-by-step explanation:

p(-3)=x-4x-(8p+5)

⇒(-3)-4(-3)-(8p+5)=0

⇒-3+12-8p-5=0

⇒9-5-8p=0

⇒4-8p=0

⇒-8p=-4

⇒p= -4/-8

⇒p= 1/2

Hope it would be Helpful!
