For what value of P, the linear equation 2x + py = 8 has equal values of X & Y for the solution? Can't we get a numerical value of p instead of 8-2x/x ?

p=8-2x/y
or 8-2x/x
put x=1
p= 8-2(1)/1
p= 8-2= 6
putting the value of p
2 x 1 + 6 x y= 8
y=1
p=8-2x/y
or 8-2x/x
put x=1
p= 8-2(1)/1
p= 8-2= 6
putting the value of p
2 x 1 + 6 x y= 8
y=1
