hey mate hers is ur ans

no solution is in the case when the lines are parLlel =a1/a2=b1b2is nt equalto c1/c2

2/1=3/k+1=/2k+1/2k+3
2k+2=3
2k=1
k=1/2

Hope this helps u

Heya !!!

2X + 3Y = 1

2X + 3Y - 1 = 0 ----------(1)

And,

(2K +1 )X + (K+1)Y = 2K+3

(2K+1)X + (K+1)Y - (2K+3) = 0 ------(2)

These equations are of the form of A1X + B1Y+C1 = 0 and A2X + B2Y + C2 = 0

Where,

A1 = 2 , B1 = 3 and C1 = -1

And,

A2 = (2K+1) , B2 = (K+1) and C2 = -2K-3

For no solution we must have,

A1/ A2 = B1/B2 # C1/C2 [ Where # stand for not equal]

2/ 2K+1 = 3/K+1

2(K +1 ) = 3 (2K+1)

2K +2 = 6K + 3

6K -2K = 2-3

4K = -1

K = -1/4
