alpha + beta = alpha x beta
-b/a = c/a
-2(k-12)/(k-12) = 2/ (k- 12)
-2/1 = 2/ k-12
-2k + 24 = 2
-2k + 24 - 2 = 0
-2k + 22 = 0
-2k = -22
k = -22/-2 = -11
