\large{explanation}

given

kx+2y=5

3x+y=1

for unique solution

 \frac{a1}{a2}   not = to  \frac{b1}{b2}

like this

a1/a2≠b1/b2

comparing this we get

 \frac{k}{3} not = to \frac{2}{1}

k≠6

the value of k for which the equation has unique solution is 6

Hie!!

Given linear equations are

kx + 2y = 5

3x + y = 1

For Unique solution

k/3 2/1 5/1

k/3 2/1

k 6

K≠6 Means k can take any value except 6

k R - { 6 }
