Force is pull or push which changes or tends to change the dimensions of the object or produces or tends to produce acceleration in that object.
Pressure is the amount of the force acting per unit area.

Explanation:

There is a very fine difference between force and pressure.

  • Force can be defined as a pull or a push that is applied on any object or area that causes some change in shape or size of any object or results in some movement or acceleration in static object or stopping a moving object whereas pressure can be seen as the force that has been applied to a particular area or object that causes these actions.
  • For example: Opening a door the force (push in this case) when applied to the door results in the movement of the door while the force that has been applied to the door with hands is pressure that results in opening of the door.
